Concrete pad - our process

A freshly excavated rectangular dirt area beside a house.

Starting Right

A quality and long lasting concrete slab starts with the base. The depth of the sub base is directly related to how long the concrete slab will last without cracking or moving. Depending on the slab's purpose this can range from 6-12 inches.

Forming

The concrete slab is then formed to the desired specifications and at the optimal depth. Depending on the purpose, the pad should be formed thicker to promote longevity.  Reinforcement methods are then identified and rebar and/or wire mesh is positioned. If the new pad can be attached to an existing structure, rebar is then attached to the existing structure using pilot holes and anchoring epoxy.

Pouring & Finishing

The concrete is then poured into the form and levelled. Once the concrete is ready, it is smooth or broom finished.
